Catherine's Restaurant: Reviews & Ratings
This newly established venue offers exceptional cuisine, characterized by its rich and delightful flavors. While the service may be slightly slower than anticipated, we attribute this to their recent opening. The ambiance is sophisticated, and we particularly appreciated the elegant atmosphere. The mural depicting his mother, the live musical performance, and the pristine white tablecloths all contributed to a refined experience. We savored the jerk pasta, with mine featuring chicken and my wife's prepared with oxtail. The codfish appetizers were also outstanding. We eagerly anticipate our return.
I visited Catherine’s a new Caribbean restaurant with a party of six to celebrate my birthday. Making a reservation is definitely important here, because this place gets packed quickly. The décor is beautiful and the overall vibe is wonderful. My first visit coincidentally was one with a DJ and comedy show with proceeds going toward rebuilding Jamaica. The food and drinks were good, but took sometime to arrive. This restaurant has loads of potential. In providing honest feedback, I do feel like the space is a tad bit overcrowded. There were too many tables which left little to no room for moving or dancing. Service was good, but inconsistent. It took about 45 minutes to get our drinks, and we had to ask multiple staff members for water before getting any. Overall, the food was good enough that I’d consider coming back once they figure out some of the kinks with opening a new-restaurant. This spot has great promise they just need to tighten up the experience.
We were immediately seated. We sat politely for 30 mins without being served for asked if we want water so i finally flagged someone down and she immediately found a waitress. The place looks amazing. Its like a mini trip to the Caribbean. I loved the live steel pan band. We had plenty of time to think so we ordered apps and entrees at once. The calamari and fritters were very yummy. Then waited about a hr for the entrees… which all were yummy. Bottom line the food good but prepared to wait. If you going to hang out i guess you wouldn’t mind but dont go on a empty stomach. They are new tho maybe still working some kinks out.
My wife and I had our Friday date night at Catherine's this week. We were excited to try a newer restaurant in town and were not disappointed. The ambiance is on point, with a live reggae band playing and a beautiful atmosphere. This was backed up with delicious food. We got the lamb chops and ox tail lasagna - both dishes were delicious. Our server was very nice and did a great job. You can tell they are still working out the kinks of being a new restaurant with the workers still learning the table numbers and menu, etc. but they were all very kind and up front about still learning the ropes. Definitely worth giving Catherine's a try!!!
An excellent overall lunch was had today. Really nice ambiance here. The space is decorated and designed very nicely. The jerk chicken and oxtail lasagna were nicely done, both of which came out pretty quickly. Key was an excellent server. Attentive, personable, and answered all of our questions as it was our first time. Will definitely have to come back to try brunch and dinner when they have artist's performing.
I tried Catherine's after seeing it on a post on IG. I went with my stepmother and friend and I must say it was a really fun experience. It's located at the Corridor Marketplace next to Kohl's. It's Jamaican and Italian cuisine, which seems like an odd combo, but this oxtail lasagna i had...delicious! We all had it and agreed that it was yummy. We also had the Old Bay Wings. What was great about the place is that you can get a wonderful dinner, while listen to the best Reggae music. Etana, the Jamaican singer, did a live performance. Her voice was so rich and her songs had people up and singing along with her. Overall, I wasn't expecting to enjoy myself that much, but we really had fun. The place was packed on a Saturday night so, make a reservation. A customer service note, they must be a new establishment because there are some kinks they need to work through. First, our server was good, but the place was crowded and it seemed they had a tough time keeping up with demand. As a result, it took a while for things to make it to our table. Our entree came before the appetizers because they ran out of jerk wings. Also I had to order another drink because they didn't have ingredients for the one I originally ordered. I would still return to try other things and hear some Reggae. This place definitely has a vibe. It can get loud but I think that's okay if you want a lounge type atmosphere while you eat. Check them out.
I thoroughly enjoyed dining here tonight. The professionalism of the staff and hospitality is top notch. Food is amazing. Highly recommend trying the Oxtail lasagna a very unique combo. The owner opened the restaurant In honor of his mom and has a mural tribute that is really beautiful. Our waitress Keisha was very attentive and sweet. Loved the live music and ambiance. Could not stop dancing. Hopeful everyone in this area can experience this beautiful place reminds me of being in Jamaica ????????
